Torchlight implemented this error message, "Fatal initialization error," to signify that your graphic cards or system cannot handle it's capabilities. However, if you don't mind playing the game in lower graphics, then this patch will fix the error. The gameplay is still as stellar as ever, and by the middle of the game, I didn't even mind the graphics!

All you have to do is locate your Torchlight folder,
C:\Program Files\Runic Games\Torchlight 2
and drag in the .exe file. After launching the application everything should work fine!
